My Story
A few years ago, I found myself staring over as a solo momma after the breakdown of my marriage. My daughter and I came back home to Northern Ireland with practically nothing, and started to build a new life together, just us two. After we ended up with two smelly rescue kittens, I discovered Scentsy! I spent a few months buying one or two bars at a time, and used them in a cheap, store bought warmer. At mothers day, I decided to save up and treat myself to a warmer bundle! Thats when I really fell in love with Scentsy!
I loved so many of the warmers, and really enjoyed coming home to a house that smelled amazing. When my consultant suggested I host a party for her, I wasnt in a position to be able to invite people over, but I WAS able to do a pouch party! I thought I would give it a go. I was not sure how well I would do, but I gathered enough orders to get two half price warmers and a free bundle of wax!!!! When my wax supply ran low, I hosted another pouch party, and got a gorgeous lampshade warmer and more wax. At this point, friends and neighbours would occasionally ask me to place orders for them. My daughter found that the Scentsy buddies and wax really helped with her feelings of anxiety and started a campaign to try to get me to sign up! All she wanted was to be a Scentsy kid, and for me to be a Scentsy momma!
Although I was still at a pretty low point, I eventually decided to give it a shot, as I had nothing to lose! I borrowed money from a friend to buy a full kit at the beginning of February, and completely surprised myself!!!! My friends and family were amazingly supportive, and I earned my first promotion within a few weeks! I was able to repay the cost of my kit in my first month, with commission left over! I was nothing short of shocked to discover how supportive and encouraging other consultants are. I expected nastiness and competition, but instead, got suppport, encouragement, and some friends for life. I am so thankful for everything that Scentsy has brought me. It has increased my confidence again, and has helped me make new friends. Im so thankful for the support of my fab Scentsy customers. I love being a part of your family milestones and celebrations!!!
I now have a growing team of amazing women who have joined me on my journey. I love watching them and their children enjoy the benefits of Scentsy, too! This year, we've celebrated new babies, house moves, first homes purchased, and helped those who lost day jobs due to covid.
My main reason for giving it a shot was always my amazing daughter, Teddy. I wanted to be able to provide a better life for her. After my marriage breakdown, I was so worried about what life would be like. I just wanted more for her, but had no way to give it. I wanted to be able to treat her; I wanted her to have experiences that children with two parents would have... I REALLY wanted to be able to take her to Disney land in Paris someday-though that seemed like an impossible dream! Within a couple of months, I was able to surprise her with a trip to Disney on Ice! I was able to treat her to figure skating lessons; I was able to throw her first ever party for her 6th birthday! Then, I was able to help her support charities and organizations that are important to her.
Now, her birthday parties are an annual treat for her and her friends. She's working on her Bronze level in figure skating, and is competing as the only representative from Northern Ireland in Inclusive Skating. We were finally able to enjoy an amazing trip to Disney in Paris last winter - and we're saving for a trip to see the northern lights. I've loved watching my team grow and succeed.
